Mikołaj Bieluga was born in Lublin in 1963. In the years 1983-1988 he studied fine arts at the Institute of Artistic Education at Maria Skłodowska-Curie University in Lublin. He defended his diploma in painting at Marian Stelmasik's studio. He has lived and worked in Siedlce since 1989. In 1990, he started work as the assistant lecturer at the University of Podlasie. Both doctoral and post doctoral conferral procedures took place at the Faculty of Painting at Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, in 1995 and 2008 respectively. At present, he is employed at the Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities as an university profesor. In 2010 he was appointed the Head of the Department of Artistic Education.
